We run a purpose-built tracked forestry mulcher with a heavy drum head. It grinds standing brush, briars, saplings and trees up to roughly 8-10 inches in one pass, right where they stand. The mulch drops in a 2-4 inch mat that protects the topsoil, chokes out re-growth for a season, and breaks down into the ground. No piles. No haul-off. No burn scars.
